Hillside Cemetery

Täby Church was built in 1300th century. The church is famous for it's beautiful lime paintings made by Albertus Pictor in the 1500th. centuary, they are very well preserved because they were never whitewashed over. The most famous painting in the church is "Death playing a game of chess with a knight", which is also a famous scene in the movie "Det Sjunde Inseglet" (The seventh seal") by Ingemar Bergman.

The belltower in the north of the church is from the year 1763.

News!

My dad and my Aunt Anita thought that my grandfathers gravestone was looking so bad that they decided to replace it with a new headstone.

It was put on place just before Christmas.

We visited Täby Cemetery September, 18th 2006 to see the new headstone.
