Asphult Lutheran Church

Asphult was organized on January 4, 1889 by Rev. James Moody with services held in a schoolhouse until the church was built in 1911. Asphult church was build on land sold to the church by Nels Jeppson in 1890. The church closed in the 1960's and now stands in  Pioneer Village in the Thief River Falls.

According to the book "The Centennial History of the Thirteen Townships", published in 1983 it say's that the Swedish language was used until 1915 and after that part of the service was held in English. Later English was used exclusively.
